Land is popular commodity in Kalkan with its steep slopes affording beautiful sea views. Prices have increased dramatically over the last 15 years with large open sea view plots and plots close to the town/sea front now commanding a premium. Plots within the boarder of the Town Development Plan (Imar Plani) have outline consent for construction established.

It is helpful to know that different areas of the town are characterised by varying average plot sizes and building permissions. Plots typically vary from 280m to 800m2 with building consent ranging from 15% to 20% for most areas. The local planning rules limit the total building height and it’s positioning relative to roads and neighbours. Special conservation rules apply to the Old Quarter where many buildings are protected from demolishing and new build has to comply with the aesthetics of the older buildings.
