This charming stone house is one of Kalkan’s original Greek stone houses and one of few that are protected by a conservation order.
Located in the lower part of the ‘Old Quarter’, the house is situated on a relatively quiet corner* not far from the ‘Mina Art Cafe’ and ‘Salt & Pepper’ restaurant. The harbour and beach are just a 2 minutes walk away. The Beach Clubs such as ‘Indigo’ & “Cakil” are in walking distance. Beach Clubs of ‘Palm’ ‘Zest’, “Villa Mahal” & “Kalkan Beach Park” are reachable by water taxi from the harbour.
“Antik Ev” has been internally updated, with a modern and bright interior, incorporating original features and antique decorative objects. The ground floor has an open plan living area with a small kitchen/dining area and lounge seating area with fireplace. The well equipped kitchen offers a full size fridge/freezer, full oven with gas hob, sink and washing machine.
On the first floor are two double bedrooms each with 140×190/200cm double beds and private wooden balconies. The two bedrooms share a modernised bathroom with large walk in shower with rain head.
Guests should please note both bedrooms have efficient Mitsubishi air conditioning. The lounge has a fan. Running the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms is sufficient to cool the ground floor living area if needed.
* Guests should note that this is the Old Town which is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Whilst the Antik Ev is not a main street, there is still noise from nearby restaurants and bars at night, especially in the peak months of July and August. If you decide to book please be aware of this. Bring your earplugs if needed.
